HIGH POINT (October 10, 2023) – Four Hands, today unveils its fall collections, featuring more than 450 pieces across all its diverse product categories. The fall product launch complements two designer collections in collaboration with Thomas Bina + Ronald Sasson and Van Thiel, also debuting today (full details here).  Market-goers can find the fall collection at Four Hands’ Showplace Suites showroom (#4101) from October 14 – 18, 2023.

“Expect unique additions with antique roots and hand-applied finishes in our collection with Van Thiel, a Brazilian mid-century influence with our Thomas Bina + Ronald Sasson collection, and new product introductions that take inspiration from classic vintage designs as well as our travels around the world,” said Adam Dunn, Vice President of Design. “All fall debuts are united by the Four Hands’ design ethos and complement our current assortment so customers can mix them seamlessly.” The latest introductions anticipate customer needs and trends while adhering to Four Hands’ long-standing design principles including the use of quality and innovative materials and a cohesive style of understated elegance, effortless functionality, and thoughtful details.

Understated Modern

With its natural color palettes and smooth, clean lines, the understated modern aesthetic delivers comfort and livability. Thoughtful restraint in design formats and materials create impact through fine details, like stitching and piping or exposed graining and joinery.

This design story also offers new products in Eucapel leather, a carbon-neutral, vegetable-tanned leather processed using fallen eucalyptus leaves, which Four Hands was the first to bring to market. “We’re exceedingly pleased with the strong market response to Eucapel, which maintains all the essential properties of traditional leather and offers a more natural look and softer feel than other sustainable processes,” said Rick Lovegrove, President of Upholstery.

Daria Chair
A new take on the classic club chair. Featuring sleek lines, double top-stitching and subtle piping throughout. Finished with a fully upholstered cutout base. Carbon-neutral, vegetable-tanned leather is processed using naturally fallen eucalyptus leaves in Uruguay.
Toland 5 Piece Sectional
An elevated take on the modular sectional. This new collection features clean lines with loose back and arm cushions. A smooth linear base is fully upholstered and wraps up the arms for a shelter effect. Covered in a new basketweave fabric that brings both texture and comfort to the entire piece.
Sheffield Coffee Table
A simple stunner. This large coffee table features exposed joinery from five thick, gently curved legs. Crafted from a beautiful oak veneer with exposed graining throughout.

Vintage Inspired

Four Hands continues to build a broad yet cohesive product assortment that highlights mixed design eras and styles. Echoing the resurgence of historical design, several fall introductions take inspiration from vintage favorites. Four Hands adds contemporary capabilities, such as swivel features, and inflates designs up to modern scales

“The ideal product in this category is a ‘future heirloom’ — unique yet era-ambiguous with a longevity and functionality that will allow it to be passed down over generations,” noted Dunn.

Gardendale Kitchen Island
Make room for more prepping, gathering and storage. This large and functional kitchen island features eight wide drawers on one side, a large bottom shelf below and room for stools. Designed with an oak cradle frame that holds the tabletop above with exposed joint details on the shelf and legs below for a benchmade look and feel. Crafted from oak with iron accents.
Sophie End Table
An updated take on a classic end table shape. An antiqued rust metal finish on the iron base brings contrast to a smooth marble top with heavy veining for added movement.
Kestrel Round Dining Table
The traditional turned base dining table gets an updated look with a double curved tulip-shaped base and a smooth marble tabletop. Base is crafted from solid acacia wood in a heavy wire-brushed finish that showcases the deep wood graining, adding character to the piece. Paired with white or black marble.

Wabi Sabi

Wabi sabi is a Japanese aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience. This fall, Four Hands embraces this world view by celebrating materials with natural imperfections.

“Wood graining and subtle finishes suggest age and wear but also provide a sense of timelessness and beauty,” added Dunn.

Wolcott Sideboard
This rustic sideboard is wabi sabi-inspired with a simple framework accented with natural graining and grooves. Crafted from a mix of solid and resawn wood in a smocked finish with raised built-in door pulls for an easier grip.
Merida Dining Table
Wabi sabi-inspired and designed with a clean, bold shape. This rustic dining table keeps the focus on the natural graining and grooves of the solid and resawn alder wood used to craft this piece. Base features a simple half circle cutout bringing an interesting sense of structure to both ends of the piece.
Redondo Media Console
This simply styled media console is crafted from a mix of resawn alder wood with oxidized metal door fronts for subtle tonal contrast. Designed with ample storage and rear cutouts for cord management.

Four Hands Art Studio Introductions

Figurative painter Caroline Pinney, mixed-media artist Raoul Morren, abstract artist Karen Covey, and painter Allison Rohland join Four Hands Art Studio’s esteemed roster of nearly 200 independent artists. Four Hands Art Studio partners with these artists to offer a curated collection of art reproductions—printed and finished using state-of-the-art techniques, framed by hand, and available for delivery in as quickly as three weeks.

Caroline Pinney
Austin-based figurative painter Caroline Pinney explores intimacy and human relationships in her art brut-evocative pieces. Working with a range of mediums, from oil stick and charcoal to coffee and spray paint, she often uses her own hand to manipulate materials.
Raoul Morren
Los Angeleno Raoul Morren works in collage, painting and photography, creating collected, sensorial pieces inspired by nature and travel. Repurposing found fragments, he breathes new life into old materials through art, often allowing his works to hang in any direction envisioned.
Karen Covey
Karen J. Covey is an abstract artist whose work is inspired by her love of vintage goods. By working with materials that already have a history, each piece is an organic process of discovery, allowing the materials to instinctively guide her as she begins. Through thoughtfully-curated textiles and materials, her work is an experimentation of layers, creating a balanced composition of textures, intentional marks, and hand-stitching.
Allison Rohland
An instructor for artists with intellectual disabilities, Seattle painter Allison Rohland approaches her work intuitively, letting each piece naturally progress. She looks to the work of her hero, the late abstract-expressionist artist Joan Mitchell, for inspiration.
