Four Hands Launches Its Fall Collection, Featuring a New-To-Market Performance Fabric and Beautiful Styles That Reinterpret Various Design Eras

PRESS RELEASE

High Point, NC (October 22, 2022) – Four Hands, the leading global designer of trendsetting lifestyle furnishings, has introduced its fall collection of new creations across furniture, upholstery, lighting, and décor for today’s spaces. The brand is showcasing more than 1,000 all-new and top-selling styles during High Point Market, at Showplace Suites, Showroom #4101, from October 22-26, 2022.

Among its exceptional offerings is the North American launch of Fiqa, a revolutionary performance fabric that is setting a new industry standard with the combination of its form, functionality, and eco-friendly qualities. Further, while mixing styles is core to Four Hands’ design DNA, there are several clear trends that have emerged from its new product lineup at Market. The latest product standouts are seen through new design stories inspired by Brazilian midcentury modern and European antiques and contemporary artists debuting with Four Hands Art Studio.

“Four Hands appreciates a spectrum of design styles, and we often find that some of the most thoughtful spaces blend design movements, shapes, and materials in unexpected ways,” said Adam Dunn, VP of Design for Four Hands. “With this as a guiding principle, our newest assortment features styles that are inspired by earlier eras – reimagined through today’s lens – as well as solutions that prove that you can have design that is both distinctive and livable.”

Fiqa: The Next Generation of Performance

Four Hands is the first brand to bring Fiqa, which stands for “Fabrics, Innovative, Quality, Anywhere,” to the North American market. As its name suggests, Fiqa can be used on both indoor and outdoor products, offering a versatile fabric for any type of space. Fiqa is also made from fully recyclable materials and uses a water-free solution dying process for long-lasting, fade resistant, and eco-friendly color.

“Four Hands customers already know us for superb design, the finest materials, and precise craftsmanship. With this exciting exclusive partnership to launch Fiqa, we are showing our commitment to the next generation of fabric. We continue to lead the way in upholstery design while upping the ante, offering the highest levels of performance matched with sustainability,” said Rick Lovegrove, President of Upholstery for Four Hands. “Buyers can feel totally comfortable knowing that the product is easy on the earth and our designers are inspired by the endless possibilities of this revolutionary fabric.”

All Fiqa products are UV-resistant, water-repellent, bleach-cleanable, pet-friendly, antifungal, and free of PFCs (per- and poly-fluorinated chemicals), which are commonly found in water-repellent coatings. Fiqa also delivers an unparalleled softness, launching with a special boucle in a curated spectrum of colors. Four Hands is introducing Fiqa to the North American market through its partnership with Fiqa’s manufacturer, Love Home Fabrics, based in Belgium.

Added Gregory Tack, CEO at Love Home Fabrics, “An innovative product should be launched with an innovative partner and we could not imagine a better fit for Fiqa than Four Hands. Four Hands was one of our first customers in the U.S. and since day one has been one of our most effective and esteemed collaborators. Always going above and beyond, our teams work in an integrated way to realize amazing trend-setting accomplishments. The Four Hands fall collection truly demonstrates the great potential of Fiqa, with upholstery fit for both indoors and outdoors and taking inspiration from all over the world.”

European Antique Inspirations

“At Four Hands, our passion for great design challenges us to blend historical details with modern ideas. Anticipating customers’ post-pandemic desires for pieces that feel collected and highly personal, we looked to European antiques – from French Louis XIV to Italian and Belgian – as a source of inspiration this fall,” added Dunn. “In many cases, we’re using one element from an antique, which could be a carving detail or a leg shape, and simplifying and modernizing it. We’re also developing painted and distressed, worn and aged finishes, so that pieces look as though they’ve been passed down for generations.”

Anna Cabinet in Washed Dark Brown

Made from dark-washed brown mango, with recessed arching for a feeling of movement, the Anna Cabinet has glass-front doors that allow for generous display options, all nodding to European antique inspiration.
