Summer Spirits

Parked poolside or sprawled in the sand, nothing says summer quite like a cooling cocktail. Seasonal ingredients and a thoughtfully-styled bar table can upgrade summer gatherings in a flash. Read on for Four Hands Experiential Marketing Lead and resident mixologist Mallory’s perfect warm-weather concoction for summer’s dog days, the Coconut Kick.

THE COCONUT KICK
 
INGREDIENTS:
1 oz. Coconut Milk
1 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
1 ½ oz. Flor de Cana Rum
½ oz. Spicy Ancho Reyes Liqueur
1-2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
1 ½ oz. Fresh Lime
 
DIRECTIONS:
In a large shaker, combine rum, pineapple juice, liqueur and fresh lime, and shake until frothy. Pour over ice.
Top with coconut milk and bitters.  Garnish with edible flowers and/or wedge or fresh lime.


Our Brand Stylist, Hilary, opted for our Lily Console Table in lieu of the traditional bar cart, letting its polished white marble set a clean slate for her summer-skewed styling. Drawing d├ęcor inspiration from the cocktail itself, Hilary selected seasonal produce like fresh pineapple and edible flowers, for that extra dash of authenticity.
