2020 Vegas Market Design Trends

From Seventies textures and Eighties-inspired maximalism to earth tones and sultrily sculpted metals, our new and developing designs speak to some of the industry's coolest current trends. Fresh off Las Vegas Winter Market, below are some of the top 2020 trends enriching our latest looks.

Max Factor

Soft curves and sculptural silhouettes send forth playful, maximalist energy. This year we're big on bold, personality-packed interiors and fun, tubular forms from the 1980s. To balance retro influence and contemporary sensibility, we’re looking to modular, mid-century-minded forms with rounded pill shapes, Art Deco-inspired statement seating, and pattern-rich accents. Together, this mix makes for a uniquely eclectic look.

Earth Hues & Color Pops

When drawing upon nature’s earthy tones, styles start with beautiful hues built right in. This year, we're mixing in blue shades too, as to complement warm color palettes like wine, olive green, chocolate brown, and yellow ochre.

Sculpted Metals

Distinctive and shapely, sculpted metal pieces have a unique way of adding personality and post-modernist vibes. Floated styling makes for a soft, lighter look when coupled with harder materials, while sculpted metal side tables, for example, make great talking points – and can even double as artwork.

Sustainable Materials

While we’ve always been mindful about material sourcing, we’re stepping it up this year with even more recycled and sustainable items. From reclaimed woods like eucalyptus, to handblown glass, repurposed denim and outdoor rugs made from recycled water bottles, we're staying mindful of waste reduction, to keep quality high all around. Organically shaped forms, too, intensify the eco-friendly effect beautifully.

Tactile Nature

Thanks to a Seventies resurgence, texture-driven materials like cane, wicker, rattan and ribbed glass are reclaiming the style spotlight. Upholstery, too, delivers depth like no other, from plush velvets and chic suedes to textural wools. Perfect for melding modern with traditional, these materials bring a global, subtly bohemian vibe to any room – indoors or out.
