AUSTIN, TX, August 22, 2016
– Four Hands, renowned leader of lifestyle home furnishings and design, made the ranks of the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies. Since first appearing on the list in 2001, this is the 11th time the company has been included; a milestone only 13 other businesses on the list this year have achieved.
With the list rankings calculated according to percentage revenue growth over the last three years, Four Hands secured its place with 67 percent growth and revenue of $115 million in 2015. In the Consumer Product and Service category, the company had the fifth highest revenue in the state of Texas.
“I am so proud of our team for achieving this honor again,” says Four Hands President and CEO Matthew Briggs. “We continue to grow because of our deep cultural commitment to continual improvement in nearly every aspect of the business.
"The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”
Founded in 1996, the company has continued to evolve its product offerings over the years. Most recently the company, known for its high-quality and fashion-forward case goods, has been expanding in categories such as upholstery, lighting and art. This fall’s introductions will also include outdoor furniture as well as new designer collections.
With such rapid and continued growth, the company is in the process of expanding its distribution center with a new warehouse on St. Elmo in South Austin, in addition to its current headquarters and warehouse on Woodward Street. Operations of the new warehouse facility are expected to officially to begin in the spring of 2017.
