Four Hands CEO Presented Ernst & Young 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Distribution, Manufacturing & Real Estate
Four Hands CEO Matt Briggs has won Ernst & Young’s prestigious Entrepreneur of The Year® 2019 Award in the Distribution, Manufacturing and Real Estate category for Central Texas. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in the areas of field innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Briggs was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at Austin’s JW Marriott. As a Central Texas award winner, he is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards later this year.
Briggs’s forward-thinking drive and entrepreneurial spirit are guiding forces behind the advancement of Four Hands, from product development to supply chain and information technology, to the brand experience for customers and employees alike. Under his leadership, Four Hands has become one of the largest privately held companies in Austin, evolving from global trader of one-of-a-kind antiques to fashion-forward influencer of style in the home furnishings industry with a list of top-tier brands as leading customers.
The evening's other recipients included Alamo Drafthouse co-founders Timothy and Karrie League, Nulo CEO Michael Landa, Open Lending CEO John Flynn, Santana Group founder Rosa Santana, SpareFoot co-founders Chuck Gordon and Mario Feghali, and Tiff’s Treats co-founders Leon and Tiffany Taylor Chen.
“Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award is one of the most prestigious awards for entrepreneurs across the globe, and I’m incredibly honored to be recognized among some of the top business leaders in Central Texas,” says Briggs of the achievement. “Four Hands has been on a mission to evolve into a full lifestyle brand as well as improve every aspect of the customer experience. The changes we’ve made have clearly resonated with our customers and have allowed us to double revenue over the last five years. We have an amazingly talented team of people that have made this happen and I’m incredibly grateful and proud to work with them."
