Warm Minimalism at High Point
When it comes to forging new design paths, we look to the materials we source from around the world to stimulate us on an instinctual level. Character woods, warm metals, intriguing textiles and artisan finishes give rise to new creative avenues – where modern aesthetics are elevated with purposeful, specialized touches that resemble high art. Such inspiration spurs the storyline behind our “warm minimalist” styles, soon on display at High Point Spring Market.
From our perspective, the pieces being introduced at Market inspire living through beauty and meaningful design. Evolving from clean, understated slates, warm minimalist designs build upon organic shaping, meeting distinctive detailing with muted tones for high but harmonious impact.
To illuminate the thoughtful touches that will resound throughout our spring showroom designs, members of our Product Development team selected their favorite Market-bound items, each piece echoing the warm minimalist themes that inspire the essence of our 2017 design aesthetic.
An organically shaped pedestal table takes aesthetic cues from nature. Character-rich knots and grains innate to India-sourced woods are retained for display on a dramatically tapered base, then smoothed across the tabletop for a modern feel.
Slabs of weathered acacia are smooth yet distressed, hinting at depth beyond its seemingly understated shape. Subtle architectural details deliver on form and function as the natural lines of salvaged wood wrap around soft-sculpted corners. Concealed beside a cutout, a spacious slide drawer unearths inventive modern utility.
A trio of mirrored doors reflects style from all sides. Natural peroba aligns acutely to form a clean-cut frame, returning modern looks with an inherent found feel.
A fresh twist on lounging. Soothing oatmeal tones take on sleek sophistication via knife-edge pillows and angular shelter arms. Scatter back pillows keep things casual, meeting modern design in the middle with ultimate comfort. A soft slipcover of high-performance fabric pairs livability with luxury.
