The Arrangement

Set the Table

The menu is set. But what about the table? Savory foods and glasses filled with wine will surely be the main attraction, but it's all the little details that make the event especially memorable. Here are a few ideas for finishing touches that mix with a variety of table styles.

A small table and intimate guest list calls for modern simplicity. Set the table with white, yellow and green florals in a range of textures. Sprinkle in a few touches of gold and a fun cocktail to keep things glamorous and classy.

Expecting a house full? A large table gives you multiple options. Try adding small floral arrangements down the entire table, something like eucalyptus and birch branch (which are fragrant and fall-like), or make one long arrangement for the center of the table. Mix light greens, deep yellows and rich burgundy colors. Keep the height of you decor in check so everyone can see each other.

For a modern, geometric table try a short table runner and add pops of bold colored flowers. Take the festive fun a step farther by decorating the empty spaces with gold apples, miniature pumpkins and metallic accents. Candles and holiday inspired drinks always add to the ambiance.
